Hindsight is an evil bedfellow.

In hindsight it was obvious from day one that your exciting, innovative idea was never going to work. You were being far too adventurous. Farrrrr too optimistic.

In hindsight, the naysayers were right; in fact they are right most of the time. Why didn’t you listen to them and do nothing different or innovative as they do?

In hindsight the other safer idea would have worked incredibly well. It would have changed the company’s fortunes, and I’m pretty sure it would have won a marketing award. If only you had done that one.

Be careful of hindsight, it’ll undermine and limit your next move.
